Warsaw Marching Tiger Pride Earns Top 8 Finish at State Finals

WARSAW, IN - The Warsaw Marching Tiger Pride wrapped up an exceptional season with a Top 8 finish at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Scholastic A State Finals at Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis.
Competing against 28 bands statewide, Warsaw finished 8th overall, which is their highest placement in the past decade. The ensemble climbed two positions from Prelims and five spots from last year’s Finals, marking a major step forward.
“Without question, this is one of the strongest ensembles I have had the privilege to work with in my seven years at Warsaw. The students’ commitment to improvement, their resilience through long rehearsals, and their willingness to push themselves artistically and physically have been remarkable. They set a standard of excellence from day one and continued to raise that bar week after week,” shared Warsaw Community High School Band Director Mark Ziegler.
David Knouse, Assistant Band Director, added, “Our students performed with poise and professionalism, consistently striving for excellence and bringing the show to life when it mattered most. This is our first step toward achieving the ISSMA All-Music Award for the second year in a row.”
Mr. Ziegler concluded, “This has been an exceptional season from start to finish, and I am incredibly proud of what the Warsaw Marching Tiger Pride has accomplished. Their performance at State Finals is only part of the story. What truly stands out is the growth, teamwork, and pride they have shown throughout the season.”
