The Warsaw Community High School Marching Tigers' Pride will compete in Scholastic State Finals for the third consecutive year. On Saturday, October 10, the band competed in the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Scholastic State Preliminary contest at Homestead High School. Warsaw qualified for Scholastic State Finals by earning a Gold rating from a panel of six judges at Prelims.

Scholastic State Finals will be held at Lawrence Central High School on October 24th. The Tigers' Pride will compete in the Scholastic A Class with their program, "While the City Sleeps...". The show utilizes music, visuals, and sound effects to depict scenes and themes representing a dark, urban landscape. The band is under the direction of Mickey Ratliff and Emily Mikel.


The WCHS Intermediate Orchestra and the WCHS Advanced Orchestra will present their FALL ORCHESTRA CONCERT on Thursday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the PAC. The concert features Classical and Halloween music, including Johann Strauss' Emperor Waltz, Vivaldi's Autumn from the Four Seasons, and Rosin Eating Zombies from Outer Space by Richard Meyer. The concert is free and open to everyone.

A Choral Extravaganza

The WCHS CHORALE DEPARTMENT will present the fundraiser concert As Time Goes By: A Progression of Popular Music, on Friday, May 22, 2015 @ 7 Pm at the WCHS Performing Arts Center.

The concert will feature the Select Chorale as they celebrate music from every decade beginning in the 1920’s and ending in the 2010’s. The evening will consist of songs including Swanne, Ain’t She Sweet, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Bohemian Rhapsody, Man in the Mirror, Rolling in the Deep, and many, many more! Tickets are $5 and can be purchased through the Performing Arts Center Box Office. Proceeds will go towards enriching student education and opportunities in the choir department.
