Principal's Welcome 2014-15

Welcome to Warsaw Community High School and the Warsaw Area Career Center!  Located in northern Indiana, Warsaw is a wonderful community located in beautiful Kosciusko County.  In this "Land of Lakes",  we are very proud of our outstanding school and terrific student body!  Combined, WCHS and WACC, under the direction of Mrs. Ronna Kawsky, have 2,150 wonderful students with over 125 staff members.  As Principal of WCHS, I welcome you to the home of the Tigers!

Currently, we operate under a traditional 7 period day schedule with a few modifications. We have two 18 week semesters.  Grades are calculated throughout the semester with 9 week assessments administered at end of each quarter.

Each Tuesday morning, students report to SRT classrooms or labs for additional  academic support.

Thursdays are "Late Start" days for our students as we provide a collaboration period for our teachers. First period is pushed back to 8:29 AM from the normal 7:40 AM start time.

The administrative team functions with "looping" administrators.  The term "looping" means that each Assistant Principal moves with his or her class each year.  We believe that this is essential and it allows us to build and strengthen our relationships with students.

We are most excited and filled with anticipation as we begin this 2014-2015 school year.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

GO TIGERS!

Family and Interests

I am married to my lovely wife of twenty-nine years, Tracey.  Tracey is a school nurse at Edgewood Middle School.  She was recently named our corporation Support Service Staff person of the year!  I'm so proud of my family!

We are the parents of two wonderful children.  Our oldest, Tyler, is back home and working in Warsaw after the completion of his MBA from Anderson University.  Our youngest, Tara, works for WORKONE as a JAG Specialist, assisting young people with the development of employment skills.  This school year, she is teaching those skills here at WCHS.

We have also have an "unofficial" member of the family, Yachaaroah Lightbourne Stuart from the Bahamas.  Yachaaroah is residing and working in El Paso, TX.

We are involved in many activities. We are active with and enjoy our church family at Warsaw Community Church. We also love the Performing Arts, professional and collegiate athletics, and nearly all outdoor activities.
