WCHS in conjunction with Warsaw Police Department participated in a routine canine sweep of the classrooms this morning. Lt. Joel Beam of WPD was instrumental in coordinating the efforts. The building was placed in a "lockout" mode where teachers continued to teach, yet hallway traffic was suspended. Three dogs and handlers conducted active classroom sweeps this morning. As always, we appreciated the cooperation of our students and staff.
At the end of the search, one student was found to be in possession of a vape device and vape juice containing a nicotine substance. We remain vigilant in working to keep illegal drugs out of our building.
