Our program, guided by the American Association of School Librarian's Standards for the 21st Century Learner, seeks to empower students as they grow into life-long learners by providing:
instruction in information literacy and learning experiences to help students grow as inquiring critical thinkers, skilled researchers as well as ethical users and communicators of information
intellectual, physical and virtual access to a variety of informational materials
encouragement to read for personal and aesthetic growth
collaboration with teachers to design learning strategies and opportunities to meet the information needs of students within the school curriculum.
