Railhead by Philip Reeve

Sentient trains carry passengers across the universe on the Great Network.  Zen Starling is a thief and a "railhead." He darts from planet to planet until the mysterious Raven enlists his help to change the world.

This week the Media Center staff provided resources, instruction and support to over 27 classes as well as individual students.  We helped our students research and explore the following topics:

    The Warsaw Community High School Media Center supports the mission of Warsaw Community Schools and the curriculum of Warsaw Community High School. Our program, guided by the American Association of School Librarian's Standards for the 21st Century Learner, seeks to empower students as they grow into life-long learners by providing:
    • instruction in information literacy and learning experiences to help students grow as inquiring critical thinkers, skilled researchers as well as ethical users and communicators of information
    • intellectual, physical and virtual access to a variety of informational materials
    • encouragement to read for personal and aesthetic growth
    • collaboration with teachers to design learning strategies and opportunities to meet the information needs of students within the school curriculum.
