Warsaw Tiger junior Kyle Mangas has helped lead the Tigers to an 8–0 start to the 2015–2016 season, and in the process he is attracting attention from opponents and Tiger supporters who are labeling him as one of the best all-around players to wear orange and black.

VANWORMER AND SNODGRASS HONORED

Two Tiger girls soccer players were chosen from this year's squad as All-District - Elizabeth VanWormer and Clair Snodgrass.

VanWormer, a junior who was also selected as 3rd team All-State, scored 20 goals and had seven assists from her central attacking midfield position and was the team leader in goals and points for the 13-3, sectional champion Tigers.

Snodgrass, a senior, scored two goals and had three assists from her right back position. A force for the Tigers attack, Snodgrass was a leader defensively for the Tigers, shutting down opponents while able to help control the ball possession and spark an attack with her speed and agility.

MANGAS CHOSEN AS ACADEMIC ALL-STAR

Warsaw's Jake Mangas displayed grit and a fierce competitive spirit on the football field this past season, and because he carried that same drive into the classroom as well as other areas of his life, the senior quarterback was selected as one of 28 seniors throughout the state named to the 2014 Indiana High School Academic All-Star squad, presented by American Family Insurance and the Indianapolis Colts.

The honorees were selected through the Indiana Football Coaches Association poling of high school coaches around the state.

Mangas, who is also among the leaders for the Tigers' basketball squad, has compiled a 13.36 (on a 12-point scale) Grade-Point-Average and is currently second in his class of 511 students.

Several Earth Science students and WCHS staff joined me and Mrs. Aram at Canal Street Gallery on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014. Each one made finished jewelry pieces that afternoon! Earth Science students got to use their knowledge of minerals in a fun, practical way!
