The 19th Annual KYLA Banquet was held at 2517 on May 1, 2013. It was a wonderful event with current WCHS juniors among members acknowledged for their fine work throughout the course of the year. Two young ladies from WCHS were provided the opportunity to present their projects. Juniors, MaryCatherine Mayer and Ashlyn Vitoux presented amazing projects. I just wanted you to know that each of these young ladies referenced our WCS Strategic Plan regarding Dreams and Enrichment. MaryCatherine was also voted to the KYLA Board for the 2013-14 school year. With a total investment of just $364.00, for her project, Ashyln raised more the 26K for Combined Community Services! These young ladies are incredible.
Likewise, with 30 KYLA members from Warsaw, Wawasee, Tippy Valley, Triton, Lakeland Christian, and Whitko, WCHS represent more than have of the individuals involved this year. In total, 16 programs were initiated raising over 40K for programs reaching citizens of Kosciusko County. Also, kudo’s went out to former KYLA students from Warsaw who started the Boomerang Backpack Program and the Clothing Closet.Last modified on
