Hoosier Girls State information is now available in the guidance office. This program is available to current juniors and is designed to educate young women of Indiana in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship. It is a week of living and learning the political system of Indiana through a mythical city. This year’s Hoosier Girls State will be held from June 19th through June 25th on the campus of Trine University in Angola. You don’t have to be interested in politics to benefit from this activity…Citizenship, not politics, is emphasized. This would be a great way to kick-off your summer and it looks great on scholarship and job applications too!! Stop by the guidance office to pick up an application. Deadline is January 27th.

Happy New Year 2016,

Welcome back for semester two students! As we begin 2nd semester there are a couple of things to assist you with the first day back and some thoughts for the first week.

1) As you arrive, 5 doors will be accessible for entrance. They are as follows: Main Entrance, PAC doors, Career Center doors, Athletic Dept. doors, and the Band hallway doors. All other doors will remain locked. Do not open doors for anyone or leave doors propped open.

2) You may print or upload your 2nd semester schedule on your mobile device. Please bring this with you on Tuesday, Jan. 5th. Any student not having their schedule may be able to go to the Media Center before school to retrieve your schedule.

3) There will be no schedule changes for the purpose of a teacher change honored. Our classes are full. Any request to change teachers for a specific class will be denied in order to keep our classes properly balanced. In addition to this, course adds or drops will be determined on a case by case situation reviewed by the counselor and grade level principal. The building principal will reserve the right to review any denied requests. All requests must be completed by Friday, January 8th to be considered.

We are all looking forward to a great conclusion to the 2015-16 school year! Please remember........ "IT STARTS WITH YOU!"

It was a great trip to Plymouth to meet Dave and Janet Burke!  Special thanks to Mr. Stan Seiss and his efforts to ensure all Warsaw state champions are recognized with their photo placed in the trophy case!  After getting in touch with Dave Burke - the 1951 state champion in the high jump - Blossers used an old photo and negative to create an 11x14 to place in the case, and one was made to share with Mr Burke!  The Warsaw graduate was one of Warsaw's first state champions and he continued his track & Field career at Purdue University.  Burke went on to teach and coach in Warsaw for several years, and he served 33 years teaching mathematics and coaching track at Culver Military Academy.  Burke is also an inductee to the Kosciusko County Basketball Hall of Fame.   (Pictured: Scott Erba, Dave Burke, Stan Seiss)
