Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are seeking your assistance with stopping a concerning trend that has been occurring nearly every Thursday morning.  That trend is chronic tardiness.  There are a large number of students who arrive late each Thursday.  The number of tardy students is nearly seven times as high on this day than on any other day of the week.  

Thursday morning is our late start, PLC day.  This day provides teachers throughout the district an opportunity to collaborate, share, and learn from one another.  The result for our teachers is a guranteed hour each week to plan, review data, and provide the best instruction possible to our students.  In order to continue with these all important PLC days, our students must attend, be here on time, and be in their respective classrooms by 8:30 AM.

Beginning next week, we will be assigning disciplinary consequences to repeat offenders.  As a parent or guardian, anything that you can do to assist will be greatly appreciated.  Our students need to be in class and ready to learn every Thursday morning at 8:30 AM.

"HOPE FOR HOUSTON!"

On Thursday and Friday the administrator offices will be collecting essential items for those families who have endured the devastation and destruction left by Hurricane Harvey. WCHS/WACC will be teaming with World Compassion Network to collect the essential items that will be delivered to Houston and others cities in Texas and Louisiana who have seen nearly 60 inches of rainfall within the last 72 hours.  This storm has caused several deaths and at least 30,000 people are now homeless in the area.

Please help us by bringing any of the following items to any administrative office or to the Warsaw vs. Plymouth football game this Friday night.  We will have bins available in the offices and at the entrance areas of the game.  Every little bit matters!

The items requested are SPECIFIC items. They have plenty of bottled water, so no water please.  Here is the list. 

Non-perishable food items 
Personal hygiene products
First Aid kits
Paper products
Cleaning supplies
Trash bags

We are looking for students to assist with the

WCHS College Fair – September 13th

Your assistance would be needed between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. 

Students will escort college reps from the parking lot into the 

Career Center Gym and assist them with their gear, if needed.

You may use this as volunteer time for National Honor Society

 or college/scholarship applications, etc.

Please let Mrs. Barnes know (in the Guidance office) 

by Monday. Sept 11th, if you are interested in helping.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to assist us 

with the college fair on Wednesday, Sept 13th.
