Good luck this weekend to the WCHS Winter Guard.  They are competing in the Divisional Finals at Mooresville High School on Saturday.  Warsaw performs at 12:12.

We also want to wish good luck to the WCHS Winter Percussion Ensemble as they compete in their State Semifinals at Decatur Central tomorrow as well.  The ensemble performs at 7:10.  You can check out a live webcast of the performance at indianapercussion.org

And finally, good luck and congratulations to Drew Tomasik.  Drew was accepted into the All State Honor Band, which will rehearse and perform on the Purdue University campus this weekend.

Congratulations and good luck to everyone!
The WCHS Band Department is hosting the 8th annual Warsaw Winter Percussion Invitational this Saturday in the Tiger Den!  27 drumlines and percussion ensembles from Indiana and Illinois will compete in 7 different classifications beginning at 2pm.  The Warsaw Winter Percussion Ensemble will perform at 5:20.

Admission is $6 – general; $5 – seniors & college students (w’ ID); $3 – students K-12; 6 and under free.  All proceeds go to the Warsaw Band Boosters.  Spectators will park in Lot C, in front of the PAC main entrance, and enter through the PAC lobby.

It’s not the kind of event where it’s necessary to attend the whole thing, if you don’t have that kind of time.  Each school’s performance takes about 10 minutes, and audience members come and go in between.  Concessions will also be available.  Please attend and support the students of the WCHS Percussion Ensemble as well as the entire Band program!

Congratulations to the WCHS Winter Percussion Ensemble for placing 1st in their class at the Muncie Central Invitational on Saturday. Warsaw won their class with a score of 82.8. The ensemble next competes right here, in the Tiger Den, when they host the Warsaw Winter Percussion Invitational on Saturday, March 8th. Everyone come out and cheer on the Winter Percussion Ensemble when they perform on their home floor!
