According to Coach Thacker, for the fifth straight year the Warsaw Boys Track Team won the Goshen Sectional. The Tigers will be represented in seven events currently for the regional next week.

The varsity and JV golf teams took on Wawasee last Thursday and the varsity team was defeated for the first time this year. Warsaw shot a 163 with Wawasee shooting 4 below that with a 159. The JV team was victorious with a 166 while Wawasee shot a 180. For the second time last week, a JV player was a medalist and that player was Luke Delp shooting a 40. Jonny Hollar was also a medalist shooting a 40. The varsity team is 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the NLC. The JV team is 9-0 overall and 9-0 in conference. The scores are as follows:

According to Assistant Coach Jan Orban, the first round of Sectional took place last night between Warsaw and Columbia City. Warsaw took the match 4-1 avenging a regular season loss to Columbia City. Scores are as follows:

The varsity team out shot Northridge and Northridge by shooting a 158 on the Day. Northridge shot a 162 and Northwood a 167. Jonny Hollar was the low man shooting a 1 over 36. The Tigers are now 6-0 in the NLC.


Congratulation to Tim Rata who is the#8 player, but shot the best round of the day with an even par 35 and at one was was 3 under. He was the low medalist for the event. The JV team is also 6-0 in conference after shooting a 172 with Northridge shooting a 185 and Northwood a 194.

According to Coach Erba, the Warsaw Lady Tigers flexed their muscles in a big way Tuesday night as they captured their 9th straight Sectional title by scoring 171 pts, outpacing runners up Elkhart Memorial by 80.5 pts. The meet started with outstanding efforts in the Field Events (Samantha Alexander winning the Long Jump, Jazzmine Brown winning the High Jump and Rebecca Lemon winning the Pole Vault) and then extended onto the track until the 4x400m team of Nicole Eckert, Brooke Rhodes, Jazzmine Brown and Audrey Rich wrapped up the evening with the eighth event win for the Lady Tigers. Warsaw will be represented in 10 of the 13 individual events at Regionals and will have both athletes competing in 9 of those 10 events. All 3 relays advanced as well.
