The state’s best in high school track and field converged in Bloomington this weekend as the IHSAA conducted the 112th Boys State Finals on Friday.

Daniel Messenger lead the way for the Tigers as he paced 8th in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 1:54.81. Daniel's finish makes him an All-State athlete for track and field.

Andrew Scheidt placed 15th in the disc with a toss of 147'4."

Owen Glogovsky placed 23rd with a time of 4:26.08.

According to Coach Erba, the Warsaw Lady Tigers wrapped up their 2015 season in a most impressive way at the Indiana State Meet held at I.U. Warsaw set three school records en route to four podium (All-State) performances to equal their best State Meet score of 10 points (tied for 20th).

Samantha Alexander started the meet off by breaking her own school record in the long jump with a leap of 17’ 11.25” which held up for an 8th place medalist finish. The 4x800m team of Hannah Dawson, Brooke Rhodes, Anna Craig and Allison Miller took to the track and set a new school record of 9:23.20 to finish 7th on the podium. The 4x100m team of Mariah Harter, Samantha Alexander, Abbi Curtis and Audrey Rich narrowly missed the school record but still recorded the 2nd fastest time ever run at Warsaw (47.72) to place 8th on the podium. Nicole Eckert ran a lifetime best in the 300H (45.34) but fell just shy of the podium in 10th place but rebounded to lead off the 4x400m team which included Jazzmine Brown, Tennie Worrell and Audrey Rich to a new school record effort of 3:58.00 to place 7th overall. The previous record set in 1987 was 3:59.22.

The varsity baseball team fell to Northridge 3-0 despite out hitting them 5-4. Cole Baker had 2 hits. Brad Christenberry, Marselo Rodriguez, and Blake Forman added 1 hit a piece. Kevin Hawley was the losing pitcher giving up 3 earned runs on 3 hits. The Tigers conclude their season 9-19 after reaching the sectional final.
