The Kiwanis Indiana Foundation, Inc. Scholarship application is also available in the guidance office. Applicant MUST attend a school in Indiana for their post-high school education to be eligible for this scholarship. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2016.
Seniors that are applying for the Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship are reminded that the deadline to submit your completed application is Friday, Dec. 4th. This leaves you less than two weeks to secure all parts of your application including the high school counselor evaluation form. DO NOT wait until the last minute to ask Mrs. Davis to complete this form for you. Bring it to the guidance office as soon as possible. The form needs to be completed and returned to you so that you can submit all parts of the application PRIOR to the Dec. 4th deadline. Thank you for your cooperation!
Another reminder to Seniors: Herff Jones will be returning on Tuesday, Dec 8th from 11 - 1 to collect orders for graduation products. If you have not yet placed an order for your cap/gown/tassel, please stop by the Herff Jones table during lunch on Tuesday, Dec. 8th. Extra order forms are available in the guidance office. This scholarship fits closely to our WCS mission of pursuing dreams and enriching those inside of our community. It is open for Senior student who have overcome a personal or socio-economic obstacle to follow their dreams. If you know Senior students fitting this criteria, please pass this information along and encourage them to apply through the attached application. In the spirit of Dr. King, the CCMLK announces the Academic Excellence and Community Service Award for any current high school senior who is a member of the graduating class of 2016, a resident of Kosciusko County, and a student who has overcome a social or economic challenge and/or a first generation college student. The applicant must demonstrate scholastic excellence and encompass the heart of Dr. King through acts of community service and enriching the lives of others.
The Academic Excellence and Community Service Award application is available through the student’s high school guidance department and is due on December 20, 2015. Recipients of this award will be acknowledged at the next annual event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to take place on January 18th, 2016. Applications for the award can be obtained at your local high school guidance department.
